We are pleased to announce that the BIOmesh team - in full - has received a certificate for completing the workshop and learning about tools for collecting data and calculating an organization's carbon footprint. The several-day meeting is entitled. "ESG Reporting in Practice. A workshop on calculating an organization's carbon footprint" was organized for BIOmesh by the Polish Development Fund (PFR) and the National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE).
"We are a positive impact startup and feel responsible for the environment, especially as we work to improve food quality in Poland and around the world. The ability to effectively manage the carbon footprint of our business, including the developed solutions for clients in the Agrotech industry consistent with ESG strategies, is extremely important to us. Hence, we have decided that our entire team will acquire the necessary competence in this area," - Aneta Lange-Kępczyńska, CEO of BIOmesh, said.
According to Climate Strategies Poland's report "Better late than later. Reducing carbon footprint and climate competitiveness of Polish companies", global business directly or indirectly influences more than 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
About 60% of emissions are generated in Scope 3, the supply chain, KPMG points out. "Thus, only a shared responsibility of companies and a commitment to reduce their carbon footprint is likely to yield the expected results," he added. - added the BIOmesh CEO.
